Photography

The emotions a photograph can throw back at you can be overwhelming. The ability of photography to connect to our past, associate us in an event, and preserve memories without words or interpretation makes it an influential hobby for me.

I usually photograph plants and animals for my own use, so that I can make nature illustrations based on them. Photographing insects is not only very interesting and challenging, but also useful from a scientific point of view: this way, the occurrences of species can be recorded.

Also for portraits, I need high-quality shots, which I combine to form a painting that tells the person’s story.
